Industrial Visit Kunjungan Industri Pharmacy Program SMK Kesehatan Bantul to Sidomuncul Semarang Factory

On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, grade 12 students of the Pharmacy Department of SMK Kesehatan Bantul, accompanied by their teachers, conducted an industrial visit to PT Industri Jamu dan Farmasi Sido Muncul Tbk (Sido Muncul) in Semarang. The visit aimed to provide students with insight into the world of work and the production process of herbal medicine and pharmaceuticals.
Departing in the morning by bus, the SMK Kesehatan Bantul delegation arrived at the Sidomuncul Semarang factory. There, they had the opportunity to witness the production process of herbal medicine and pharmaceuticals, as well as interact with professionals in the field.
This industrial visit is part of the industrial competency enhancement program, which aims to provide students with hands-on experience in production processes and industry standards applied in large companies. Thus, students can understand the application of theories they learned in class in a real-world context.
Teachers of the Pharmacy Department of SMK Kesehatan Bantul hope that this industrial visit will greatly benefit the students, both in terms of knowledge and skills. "We want students to not only master theories in class but also understand their application in the industry," said one of the teachers.
The industrial visit to Sidomuncul Semarang is a concrete example of SMK Kesehatan Bantul's efforts to improve education quality and prepare students for the workforce.
